Jonny’s a director who’s experienced almost every corner of the film and advertising industry. early on he worked in feature films, shorts, music videos and tv commercials amongst the different departments learning all aspects of film production, making connections that he still works with today.
through a wholistic knowledge of how production works, he began directing brand content for global clients such as google, diageo, universaL, sony, Burberry, the fa and chelsea fc. along the way working on award winning 'firsts’ in the industry. Such as black shark media’s groundbreaking kit launch campaign for southampton fc - the first football club to delve into the world of comedy or animation.
as a director he believes the common thread in good creative, no matter the platform, is to make the audience feel something. whether it’s 15 seconds of joanna lumley swearing about plastic bottles for brita, or a 90 second deeper conversation with a musician about how to express your truest self online. he is currently in iris cylndr at iris worldwide as creative Film director helping to bridge the gap of in-house production and the creative department. creating film content for clients such as samsung, brita, adidas, barclays, jack daniels and more.
Jonny’s work has featured in national nEWS COVERAGE, magazines WHILST also pickING up critical acclaim such as ‘PICK OF THE WEEK’ on adage, campaign magazines’ ‘AD of the day’, little black book and the drum to name a few.
In 2023 he won gold at the cannes straight 8 competition for iris - a one roll of super 8mm shoot-out against the top production companies and creative agencies in the industry.
